Senai rep lodges police report over claims linking Teo, DAP to secret society

Senai assemblyman Wong Bor Yang has lodged a police report over a Facebook post allegedly linking DAP vice-chairman Teo Nie Ching and the party to a secret society.

According to Wong, the post linked Teo and DAP to underground activities, and claimed that Teo had ties with a group allegedly involved in the recent death of a 17-year-old girl in Kulai.

Teo is also the deputy communications minister.

The Facebook post alleged that influential parties had pressured the police and media into reporting the teenager’s death merely as a road accident.

Wong said such claims were “wild and fabricated”, Berita Harian reported.

“Teo’s special officer and I lodged a police report at the Kulai police headquarters yesterday to allow the authorities to investigate and take appropriate action under the law,” he was quoted as saying.

Referring to the teenager’s death, Wong said tragedy should never be exploited to spread allegations.

Johor police chief Ab Rahaman Arsad previously said police had arrested 13 people, including a 15-year-old female student, to assist in the investigation into the teenager’s death following an incident at Lingkaran Bulatan Persiaran Indahpura 4 on Tuesday.

Police initially investigated the case as a road accident before reclassifying it as murder following the arrests. - FMT
