In a statement here today, HEB said HSSI was appointed by China Communications Construction (ECRL) Sdn Bhd to provide supervising consultancy services for infrastructure work from KM0 to KM231.5 of the ECRL Package 1.
The contract will commence in the first quarter of 2018, just as the ECRL project moves on to the construction stage. The works are expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
HSSI had, over the course of the year, secured contracts as design consultant for scheme designs of the ECRL phases 1 and 2, as well as the preliminary design consultancy services for infrastructure works for the ECRL from KM0 to KM220.
HEB executive director Kuna Sittampalam said with this contract, the group has secured close to RM176 million in total contract value in 2017, exceeding the target of RM150 million expected by the investing community.
“We aim to carry forward the momentum we have built this year into the new year,” he added.
HEB shares advanced two sen to end at RM1.43 in trading on Bursa Malaysia today, with 1.61 million shares traded. - FMT
