Perlis Barisan Nasional chief Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim who was in a white Toyota Vellfire was among those mobbed, but was let through after winding down his window and showing his face to the angry crowd.

One man who banged on Shahidan’s car was heard shouting that the people had the right to know who was entering the airport premises.
“We’ve waited 61 years for a change. We have the right to know who is in these cars coming in. We want to know if it’s Najib!” he demanded.
The man refused to give his name when Malay Mail approached later, only saying he was a Subang Jaya resident.
Police personnel, including a light strike force unit, were deployed to control the situation after the mob started harassing motorists.
