KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 — Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim revealed today that he was fully pardoned by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong because there was clear conspiracy behind his prison sentence.

“I didn’t have to sign any documents at the palace and I was cleared off everything.

“We requested full release because it was a clear conspiracy and miscarriage of justice that was against me,” a smiling, calm, and collected Anwar said.

Anwar went on to say he had thanked the King for the full pardon after spending one hour at the palace earlier.

“I’m deeply touched by the gratitude and concern showed by the King. I spent one hour discussing internal issues and expressed my gratitude at the palace,” he said.
