The Sabah government is to set up a unit to monitor the progress of the key performance index (KPI) in each ministry in the state, said Chief Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal.
He said an annual report would be made on the KPI evaluation of every ministry.
“We (the state government) have a role to ensure that the people feel the wealth that Sabah has,” he said at an appreciation event organised here last night by the Penampang division of Parti Warisan Sabah.
Mohd Shafie, who is also the president of Warisan, said he would also look into the extension of service of the state civil servants who were over 58 years of age.
He said the state government wanted to ensure that the younger people in the state civil service were not denied the opportunities for promotion.
