MAHATHIR IS 22 YEARS OLDER & PROBABLY WORKS AT LEAST 100 TIMES HARDER – BUT YET HADI, ACCUSED OF TAKING MILLIONS FROM UMNO, IS FOOLISH ENOUGH TO COMPARE HIMSELF WITH EX-PM: TAKE LOW-COST FLIGHT LIKE ME & NOT ‘PRIVATE JET’ EVEN THOUGH DR M HAS ALSO MADE IT CLEAR IT’S A LEASED PLANE

PETALING JAYA: PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has taken a dig at Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, saying that it is safer to fly with a low-cost airline than on a private jet.
On Friday (April 27), the Pakatan Harapan chairman claimed that the private jet he had boarded to Langkawi was sabotaged to prevent him from filing his nomination papers.
In a dig at Dr Mahathir, Abdul Hadi posted on his Facebook page Thursday, saying that he does not have a private jet.
“We don’t have a ‘private jet’, we fly on low-cost airlines along with the general public. It is safer and guaranteed not to have a punctured tyre,” he said.
Abdul Hadi also shared photos of him and his entourage walking across the airport tarmac to board a plane, and posing for photos with ground staff.
He was also seen sitting in the aircraft with members of his team.
Dr Mahathir maintained that there was a deliberate attempt to stop him from flying to Langkawi before Nomination Day, despite investigations by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) and private jet charter firm VistaJet saying that there was no sabotage.
CAAM chairman Datuk Seri Azharuddin Abdul Rahman, in a statement, said that the aircraft was unable to fly due to air leakage from the left-hand nose wheel, which is a minor and routine technical fault.
Dr Mahathir is now being investigated for allegedly spreading fake news for his claims that his chartered plane was sabotaged.
City police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim said that the investigation came about after a police report was lodged against Dr Mahathir.
