KUALA LUMPUR— Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad visited PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is receiving treatment at the Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital here this evening.
The presence of Dr Mahathir was confirmed by a corporate communications officer of the Selangor Mentri Besar’s Office, who was also in Anwar’s ward during the prime minister’s visit.
He said Dr Mahathir arrived at about 5.30pm and spent about 90 minutes there.
Also present at the ward were Anwar’s wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who is also deputy prime minister-designate and Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.
Pakatan Harapan led by Dr Mahathir won the 14th general election (GE14) last Wednesday.
