The Johor government will only implement salary cut on its excos if it is agreed to by all members, says menteri besar Osman Sapian.
He stressed that it was important for the matter to be brought before the state government meeting to obtain the views of all exco members.
"We will see. If they agree, we will follow...if not we will do it our way.
“I did not give my personal view as it involves the views of many members,” he said after presenting contributions to 50 families and giving away bubur lambuk at Econsave in Taman Daya here today.
Osman was commenting on de facto Pakatan Harapan leader Anwar Ibrahim calling on Harapan state governments to take the similar measures as the federal government, who are cutting the salary of cabinet ministers by 10 percent.
According to Anwar, it was necessary to avoid extravagant and vain practices as well as excessive protocols.
On the special Aidilfitri assistance for state civil servants, Osman said the state government would also study the matter before making any decision.
