The Johor Pakatan Harapan chairman submits the names of Salahuddin Ayub, Aminolhuda Hassan and Osman Sapian as candidates for the menteri besar post.
JOHOR BAHRU: Johor Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Muhyiddin Yassin had an audience today with Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, where he presented the sultan with the names of potential candidates for the menteri besar and state executive councillor positions.
Muhyiddin, who is also PPBM president, arrived at Istana Pasir Pelangi at 11.48am and was seen leaving the palace about an hour later.
It is learned that the three names he presented to the sultan as the potential candidates for menteri besar were Salahuddin Ayub (Amanah deputy president), Aminolhuda Hassan (Johor Amanah chairman) and Osman Sapian (Johor PPBM secretary).
Pakatan Harapan received the mandate to form the Johor state government by winning 36 seats in the Johor legislative assembly in the May 9 general election. Barisan Nasional won 19 and PAS won one. - FMT
