Police have recorded the statement of Nooryana Najwa (above), the daughter of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak.
This was confirmed by Dang Wangi district police headquarters chief Shaharuddin Abdullah, according to Kosmo, the sister newspaper of Utusan Malaysia.
Her statement was taken in relation to a police’s raid on three units within the Pavilion Residences in Kuala Lumpur on May 17.
Kosmo‘s report said a Proton Preve carrying four police officers were seen entering Najib’s residence in Taman Duta at 11 am today.
Quoting sources, it said police spent an hour recording Nooryana’s statement.
The report said Nooryana had complained that police had seized her personal items and wedding gifts during the raid.
“The report (complaint) was received by the Sentul district police headquarters last night and police from the Dang Wangi district police headquarters were sent to record her statement as her residence fell under that district,” he said.
Police had in the raid seized 284 boxes of luxury handbags and 72 bags of cash and jewellery.
Police, which took three days to count the money which was in various currencies, said the sum amounted to around RM120 million.
Nooryana reportedly lived in one of the three raided units at Pavilion Residences.
