The new Sabah Chief Minister gets down to work by attending a security briefing and will meet heads of departments.
KOTA KINABALU: Shafie Apdal’s first order as the new Sabah Chief Minister was to remove the entry ban on most politicians and activists from the peninsula into Sabah.
Speaking to reporters after clocking in for his first day in office at the state administrative building here today, he said the leaders included PKR vice presidents Tian Chua and Nurul Izzah and activists S Ambiga and Maria Chin.
They were barred from entering the state on political grounds by the former Barisan Nasional government.
The Parti Warisan Sabah president said he would also meet heads of the respective government departments to brief them on the new direction of his government.
He had already met the Sabah police chief to be briefed on the security situation in the state. -FMT
