SHAFIE TO BE SWORN IN AS SABAH CM AT 9PM TONIGHT: WARISAN TELLS MUSA AMAN TO RESIGN WITH DIGNITY OR FACE THE CONSEQUENCES AFTER GETTING NOD FROM ISTANA NEGERI

KOTA KINABALU – Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal will be sworn in as Chief Minister on Saturday (May 12), claims party deputy president Darell Leiking (pic).
Leiking, who is Penampang MP, claimed that the Istana Negeri had informed the leaders and assemblymen of the latest development.
“We were told that the swearing-in will be at 9pm, so get your media passes and be there at 8pm. Don’t forget to bring along water too,” he said to reporters at Shafie’s residence on Saturday.
Leiking also urged Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman to “resign from his post with dignity” as he had lost the majority needed to form the state Government.
“If I were him, and I hope he is better than that, he should resign in dignity because he has lost the majority. So there is no more question if he still has the command of the house.
“We believe that the TYT (Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin) will do what is accordance with the law, and we pray that Musa will follow the law, and allow the transition of power to the next Chief Minister.
“The people and Sabah matter more than his personal ego,” he said.
Meanwhile, a cheery-looking Shafie remained tight-lipped when asked to confirm whether he would be sworn in on Saturday night.
“Thank you for all your support,” was his response to congratulatory wishes from his supporters.
Several assemblymen, including Datuk Abdul Muis Picho (Sebatik), Datuk Hamisah Samad (Tanjong Batu), Datuk Jaujan Sambakong (Sulabayan), Uda Sulai (Petagas), Jenifer Lasimbang (Kapayan),
Tan Lee Fatt (Likas) and Ginger Phoong (Luyang), were seen leaving Shafie’s house on Saturday afternoon.
