GE14 | Those unhappy with Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos for dishing out RM25,000 in a lucky draw and RM2,000 to voters should lodge a report with MACC, says Election Commission chief Mohd Hashim Abdullah.
"EC merely conducts matters related to general elections.
"If this is related to graft, then should go to MACC," he said when asked if the commission would take action against Jamal at a press conference in Bukit Aman today.
Hashim added that the MACC would take action if a report was lodged for alleged corruption and abuse of power.
On May 1, Jamal promised Sekinchan fisherfolk RM2,000 each if BN wins the state seat in the 14th general election.
He also offered those from the constituency RM25,000 and a motorcycle as the top prize in a lucky draw the night before.
