PUTRAJAYA – Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he had received 10 names from PKR and three names from Parti Amanah to be considered for ministerial posts.
He said he had been very busy with numerous meetings including with PKR president Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, who had given him 10 names.
“Parti Amanah Negara has submitted three names and its president sent me a letter. We will consider all the names submitted.
“I will decide on the posts and who will go to which ministry. I will meet again with the party leaders.
“The decision is in my hands as the prime minister,” he told reporters at Perdana Leadership Foundation.
Dr Mahathir also said he had received a courtesy call from Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.
“I feel honoured as he (Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah) was the first foreign country head to meet me today,” he said.
The prime minister also said he had met Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa on the directives given regarding the direction of the government.
“We also discussed actions against several officers, which will be done in accordance with the law.”
