WITH THEIR HELP, NAJIB COULD HAVE RULED FOREVER: APANDI, IRWAN & DZULKIFLI UNDER TRAVEL BLACKLIST?

PETALING JAYA – On-leave attorney-general Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali, former inspector-general of police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, former Treasury secretary-general Tan Sri Irwan Serigar Abdullah and former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad may have been barred from leaving the country.Malaysiakini reported that the four’s MyKad numbers do not fall under the “Tiada halangan” (no restriction) category after cross-checking with the Immigration Department’s blacklist.
The Immigration Department has yet to confirm any such ban against the four.
Malay Mail could not verify the report with its director-general Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali at the time of writing.
Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had previously said Putrajaya is investigating various public officers believed to have committed wrongdoings and stressed that action will be taken to stop them from leaving the country.
Apandi was given a 30-day unrecorded leave starting today after Dr Mahathir announced that Solicitor-General Engku Nor Faizah Engku Atek would stand in for him with immediate effect.
Irwan was removed from his post yesterday while Dzulkifli today reported back to the Attorney-General’s Chambers.
