YOU DIDN’T WIN GE14 ON YOUR OWN MAHATHIR, TIME TO SHARE THE CENTRE STAGE WITH HARAPAN: ALSO, DAIM & ZETI ARE GREAT ADVISORS BUT THEY ARE NOT THE MINISTERS MALAYSIANS VOTED TO REFORM THE GOVERNMENT

KUALA LUMPUR – Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders are working to deliver the pact’s election promises despite not being sworn in yet as ministers, said Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
The designated deputy prime minister said efforts towards delivering the manifesto pledges could go on even though none of the pact’s leaders have taken the oath of office aside from Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
“To ease the burden of the people is our promise, so give us the space to work.
“We have not even been sworn in yet, but today is still a working day for us as we have a lot to do,” she said.
Dr Wan Azizah said the government would work tirelessly to deliver their 100-day promises made during campaigning for the 14th general election.
She also reiterated the commitment given to her by Dr Mahathir to undo the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the regulate fuel prices.
The PKR president also pointed to the formation of the Council of Eminent Persons that will guide the administration and the naming of DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng as finance minister to demonstrate PH’s commitment to restoring the economy.
“During the time of Tun (Mahathir) and Anwar, Malaysia was labelled the Asian tiger, this is the reputation we want again,” she said at the Pandan PKR victory celebration event this evening.
When asked about the government’s other priorities, Dr Wan Azizah said they would make sure no one is sidelined while they worked to enforce and fulfil their manifesto promises.
“There is also the KWSP fund for women who are not working, and those affecting borrowers of the PTPTN, so we must also pay attention to others.
“We cannot just promise and don’t fulfil them,” she added.
