Amar: Najib provided with full list, what else does he want?

Federal commercial crimes director Amar Singh has insisted that former premier Najib Abdul Razak was furnished with a full list of the items seized from residences linked to the latter.

"He was given a full search list of all the items that were seized from his house at Jalan Duta where he was also present," he told Malaysiakini.

Amar said for other premises which were occupied, police provided the occupants or workers with full lists as well.

"For premises which had occupants, we handed them the lists..for premise(s) with workers, we handed the list to the workers.

"What else does he (Najib) want?" he asked.

Amar was responding to Najib's allegation in an exclusive interview with Malaysiakini yesterday that he was not given a full list.

The former premier said the list he received was “incomplete”, with “vague descriptions” and without photographs.

However, Amar did not mention if the list provided to Najib contained vague descriptions and was without photographs.

At a press conference yesterday morning, the commercial crimes director revealed that the value of cash and items, including jewellery, seized from the six properties was RM686.37 million.

Amar said the market retail value could be between RM900 million and RM1.1 billion.

However, Najib told Malaysiakini that the valuation was "subjective and unrealistic".

Inspector-general of police Mohamad Fuzi Harun defended the valuation at a press conference this morning, saying it was done by experts. -Mkini
