The police said they were forced to break into lawyer Siti Kasim's house to ensure her client, who had locked herself inside, did not pose a threat to herself or others.
"While trying to save her, the victim (the client) refused to cooperate by locking herself in the house.
"To make sure she did not hurt herself or others, the police were forced to break into the house," the Selangor Criminal Investigations Department said in a statement today.
Siti has since been arrested by the police and held under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant in the discharge of his duties.
Malaysiakini understands that Siti will be brought to the Kajang courthouse today.
