FINALLY, PERLIS EXCO LINE-UP TO BE SWORN IN ON JUNE 13?

KANGAR – Perlis will finally have its new state executive councillors on Wednesday (June 13).

The swearing-in is expected to take place before Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail at Istana Arau at 11am.

It’s understood all the nine Barisan Nasional assemblymen, who boycotted the swearing-in ceremony of Datuk Seri Azlan Man as Mentri Besar on May 24, had made peace with the latter.

Perlis was thrown into a turmoil when the nine “rebels” skipped the ceremony, which had enraged the Raja of Perlis.

Ismail is the younger brother of Perlis Umno Liaison Committee chairman Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim.

In the 14th General Election on May 9, Barisan won 10 of the 15 state seats.
