PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang believes his party can work with both BN and Pakatan Harapan coalitions in the future.
He said that on the one hand, PAS can work with BN to be an opposition to the Harapan federal administration.
"On matters concerning the sovereignty of the country, PAS can work with Harapan.
"PAS is neither tied to Harapan nor BN," he wrote on Twitter today.
This comes two days after PAS' top brass paid Prime Minister and Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad a courtesy visit.
In the run-up to the 14th general election, Hadi reserved most of his barbs for Harapan, targeting component party DAP in particular.
After the polls, however, PAS leaders have been mostly reserved in their criticisms of the Harapan administration, unlike their Umno counterparts.
Currently, PAS has 18 federal lawmakers, and control the states of Kelantan and Terengganu.
They form the third largest block in Parliament after Harapan and BN. -Mkini
