MACC has stressed that it has never released any statement on corruption or misappropriation of funds within Kelantan PAS.
"MACC found that there were some irresponsible parties who used the name of MACC chief commissioner Shukri Abdull and the commission to spread such a statement and this is seen as an act to damage the reputation of MACC," said MACC deputy commissioner (operations) Azam Baki (above) in a statement today.
He said the commission was committed to carrying out their duties in a transparent, independent and professional manner without favouring any individuals.
He advised the public not to make viral news carrying the names of their commissioners which have not been verified.
Such actions, he said, would only damage the reputation of the MACC. - Mkini
