Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad today received PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang at the Perdana Leadership Foundation, Putrajaya.
Accompanying Abdul Hadi was Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and PAS advisor Mustafa Ali.
PAS had swept into power in Terengganu following the May 9 general election.
The circumstances behind the meeting are unknown.
PAS is likely the second opposition party to pay a courtesy call to the new prime minister after Pesaka Bumiputra Bersatu Sarawak (PBB).
Unlike Umno, PAS leaders have not been overly critical of the Pakatan Harapan administration since then, although both Hadi and Mahathir had traded barbs during and prior to the election. - Mkini
