PETALING JAYA: A video has emerged of a Rela officer who was threatened with a stick and verbally assaulted for telling a motorist not to go against traffic on a one-way street in Melaka.
In the clip which is making rounds on social media, the officer is seen speaking to the driver of a black SUV which is pulled over at the side of the road.
As the officer walks away from the car, the driver emerges carrying a stick which he brandishes at the officer while continuing to shout at him.
At one point, the driver shows the officer the middle finger and lunges at him with the stick.
The officer however remains calm throughout the episode and does not appear to retaliate.
The incident is believed to have taken place at the famous Jonker Street, which is known as the “Chinatown” street of Melaka. -FMT
