Malaysians have donated over RM100 million to Tabung Harapan Malaysia in just 27 days.
According to the Finance Ministry, the account had reached RM108,215,946.39 as of 3pm today.
This is a staggering jump of over RM15.5 million from the RM92,692,933.35 recorded as of yesterday afternoon.
The fund was launched on May 30 following Putrajaya's decision to revise the national debt figure to RM1 trillion.
The government said that direct debt amounted to RM686.8bil or 50.8 percent of GDP, and that there were hidden debts in the form of government guarantees on GLC debts and other liabilities. - Mkini
