Tomorrow will be a very crucial day – Siti Hasmah

INTERVIEW | After an interview with Malaysiakini at the Perdana Leadership Foundation this morning, Dr Siti Hasmah Ali proceeded to sign an autograph for one of the journalists.
With a pen in hand, she had asked the journalist what was today's date. And when he replied that it was June 4, she responded: “Ahh..Tomorrow will be a very crucial day.”
Seconds later, she noted with amusement that unlike her husband Dr Mahathir Mohamad's previous tenure as prime minister, this time around, “Everyday is a critical period.”
Though repeating that tomorrow would be “critical day” several times, Siti Hasmah did not elaborate.
There are several important events taking place tomorrow, including MACC recording former premier Najib Abul Razak's wife Rosmah Mansor's statement.
Last week, MACC issued a notice summoning Rosmah to be present at its headquarters in Putrajaya at 11am tomorrow.
She is expected to be questioned over the SRC International Sdn Bhd issue.
Previously, MACC had questioned Najib twice over the matter which the latter said was a continuation of the commission's 2015 probe.
In 2015, MACC had been pursuing a case related to SRC International over purported funds that flowed into Najib's personal bank accounts.
At the time, whistleblower website Sarawak Report had claimed there were some well-utilised credit cards linked to those personal accounts.
During the interview earlier, Siti Hasmah declined to share her views on Rosmah's date with MACC.
Apart from this, the Conference of Rulers is also set to deliberate on the appointment of the attorney-general during a special meeting tomorrow.
There was reportedly resistance from the palace towards the government naming constitutional expert Tommy Thomas as its sole candidate for the post.  - Mkini
