Sounds like BN - Zuraida calls out PKR on inaction over money politics

PKR POLLS | Ampang PKR division chief Zuraida Kamaruddin today said that the party leaders should be more proactive in dealing with allegations of money politics in the ongoing PKR polls.
Speaking to reporters at the parliament lobby, Zuraida shot down PKR Objection, Appeal and Disciplinary Committee chairperson Syed Husin Ali's statement yesterday that no action can be taken unless a formal complaint has been made.
"That sounds like the BN government last time. They (authorities during BN's administration) waited for a report when it (allegations) was obvious. So obvious.
"You have to be responsible for this election if there are any irregularities. You have to be proactive," the Ampang MP said.
Zuraida, who yesterday defended her Ampang division chief post uncontested, also insisted that the committee should act based on media reports of various allegations raised since the beginning of the PKR polls.
"Don't tell me 'have to wait for complaints' and all that," she said, adding that the culprits are let loose, thus allowed to repeat their actions.
"That shouldn't be the way," she stressed.
Aside from money politics, Zuraida said that PKR leaders in charge should also take action against alleged "sabotage" attempts such as the jammer device which was discovered at the Kuala Selangor Indoor Stadium yesterday, where the PKR election was held.
"This is a clear sabotage. This is very serious.
"The party elections are getting very critical now so the party has to put a stop to this," said Zuraida.
Kapar MP Abdullah Sani echoed Zuraida's call for investigations to be carried out on allegations of sabotage, to avoid similar attempts in the elections in Sabah and Sarawak next weekend.
"We have to be ready and committed so that this matter does not happen again," said Abdullah Sani who is running for a central leadership council position.
"I believe this (jammer) is linked to a group who feared they would lose in the area (Kuala Selangor)," he said.
The election for the Kuala Selangor division was aborted after the tablets meant for the e-voting process did not have any connection.
Kuala Selangor district police chief Mohd Asri A Wahab later said the device was a six-antenna mobile phone jammer and the case was being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code.
