KOTA KINABALU: The establishment of PPBM in Sabah is well under way with appointment letters handed over to 25 pro tem division chiefs yesterday.
Sabah PPBM executive secretary Armizan Mohd Ali said PPBM chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is also prime minister, presented the letters to the pro tem chiefs, including state PPBM chief coordinator Hajiji Mohd Noor.
He said this was followed by the swearing-in of the division chiefs in conjunction with the party’s national-level “iftar” event at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre.
Home Minister and PPBM president Muhyiddin Yassin had, on May 5, presented an approval letter from the Malaysian Registrar of Societies (RoS) to Hajiji for the setting up of 25 PPBM divisions in Sabah.

“The pro tem division chiefs will be responsible for managing and completing the process of setting up divisions and branches as well as the Srikandi and Angkatan Bersatu Anak Muda (Armada) in their respective divisions,” Armizan said.
He said the leaders were tasked with forming a pro tem organisational structure and carrying out the registration process as well as the recruitment of members.
He said Sabahans interested in becoming members could register by filling up a membership form which could be obtained through the division secretariat. They could also directly apply through PPBM’s website. - FMT
