Cops query lack of DBKL approval for Ummah rally
About 1,000 people marched in KL city centre in support of Islam and Johor prince.
It has come to the knowledge that Ummah had not received the official permission from the DBKL to use the rally sites for yesterday's "failed" 'defend Islam' rally, which is one of the documents that is needed to be furnished under the Peaceful Assembly Act if they want to hold a rally.
Ummah should have "called-off" the rally if they were law abiding but continued with their planned rally.
One of the organising officials, Kamaruzaman Mohamad who is Ummah deputy chairman, revealed that they were prepared for whatever investigations that the Police and the DBKL will conduct on this issue.
The authorities should take stern actions against all officials of Ummah for violating the law. Laws need to be respected and obeyed by everyone.
Can we see swift action been taken against Ummah officials? - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
What do we expect fron the same authorities that only take action on ikan bilis but back off on Shark? Pity Makaysia.
