My comments : What do you think folks? Should the Qatar Emir travel to Saudi Arabia?
Here is some recent history :
1. The Saudis have been attacking and destroying Yemen for four years now.
More than 50,000 people have been killed.
The US, UK and the West still support Saudi Arabia.
2. in Jan 2016 the Saudis beheaded 47 people in a single day on accusations of terrorism, including the 57 year old Sheikh Nimri al Nimri, a shia cleric and leader from Saudi Arabia.
The US, UK and the West still support Saudi Arabia.
Also recall
3. that on 4 Nov 2017 Saudis 'kidnapped' visiting Lebanese PM Saad Hariri
forced him to announce his resignation on Saudi TV.
Hariri was detained in Saudi Arabia for 12 days
then Hariri "left" Saudi Arabia for France (and returned to Beirut).
21 Nov, Hariri declared in Beirut he had suspended his resignation.
On 5 Dec he officially withdrew his resignation
The US, UK and the West still support Saudi Arabia.
4. on 2nd Oct 2018 the Saudi dissident Jamal Kashoggi was murdered, dismembered and chopped to pieces while visiting the Saudi embassy in Istanbul, Turkey. His body has not been found.
The US, UK and the West still support Saudi Arabia.
5. On April 23rd 2019 the Saudis beheaded 37 people in one day - also on accusations of terrorism.
The US, UK and the West still support Saudi Arabia.
So should the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani accept the invitation to visit Saudi Arabia?
