GUAN ENG TO ‘MUTATE’ INTO KA SIONG? NO WAY! ‘THE KNIFE THAT CUTS BREAD CAN ALSO CUT THE FINGER’ – DAP CHIEF TELLS PARTY MATES TO DISAVOW MONEY, CORRUPTION & PERSONAL GLORY – JUST DO IT FOR A BETTER MALAYSIA OR VOTERS WILL DUMP DAP AS THEY DID BN

SHAH ALAM — DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said his party was committing to shared power in Malaysia to ensure the country’s progress is enjoyed by all and not for the benefit of some.
In his policy speech at the start of the 2019 DAP National Conference here, Lim also reminded attendees that no single political party could govern the nation alone.
“Firstly, DAP intends to become a power-sharing partner not for the sake of power, not for money, and not for personal satisfaction, but for a Malaysia that is much better, and one which we can all be proud of.
“This is for the sake of the people, inspired from the social democratic values which we share.

Do more to prove we’re better than BN, Guan Eng tells Harapan

Having created history in the 14th general election, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng today stressed that Pakatan Harapan must continue to prove its worth as a government for the people.
In his policy speech at the DAP National Conference, Lim said that Harapan must accept the fact that many people in GE14 had voted against the “kleptocrats” of BN.
“Malaysians voted against the kleptocrats, but we have to humbly accept that for many who voted for us, it was not a full endorsement of Harapan.
“We still need to do everything possible to prove ourselves as a far better government to earn the people’s support in the coming election.
“Voters who ousted our opponents may do the same to us,” he warned, illustrating his point through a Chinese proverb on the same knife that cuts bread can also cut fingers.
The Harapan leaders present at today’s conference include PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu and Bersatu secretary-general Marzuki Yahya.  – MKINI
