With RM66.7 million worth of land owned by Perbadanan Menteri Besar Kelantan (PMBK) about to be auctioned, Kelantan Menteri Besar Ahmad Yakob has passed the buck on the matter to PMBK.
"That must be referred to PMBK," he told journalists in Kota Bharu today, when asked about the impending auction of state assets.
Ahmad Yakob is also PMBK chairperson.
A notice for the auction was published in local newspapers on May 13.
The notice said Maybank, as the plaintiff, would be auctioning off 11 lots of land belonging to PMBK, which is the defendant.
It said the land would be sold through public auction at the High Court in Kota Bharu on May 27.
The lots, totalling 12.6 hectares, are in Bandar Baru Tunjong, Kota Bharu, comprising eight commercial lots, one residential lot and an electrical substation and water tank site respectively.
It said the sale of the various lots will start at a reserve price of RM66.7 million.
