KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): A man was injured after being attacked by five men who tried to rob him at a house in Taman Pinggiran, Batu Caves, near here Tuesday (May 14) night.
Gombak District Police chief ACP Samsor Maarof said the incident happened around 8.30pm while the victim was at home alone.
He said the victim got involved in a scuffle with one of the suspects and was stabbed, while his personal belongings including a chain, mobile phone and car keys were taken by the suspects.
"The victim has been reported to be in stable condition at the Selayang Hospital, while his belongings have been recovered.
"In addition, the five suspects, aged between 16 and 22, were arrested in Raub, Pahang, and will be remanded at the Selayang magistrate's court tomorrow.
Samsor said the incident occurred following a debt issue between the victim and one of the suspects involved, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code. - Bernama
