The UMMAH RALLY this afternoon only managed to garner a bit more than 1,000 people. This rally was organised by Gerakan Pembela Ummah (Ummah) and it kicked-off at Masjid Jamek after Zuhur prayers and ended at SOGO this afternoon.
The objective of the rally was to "defend Islam" but what actually it turned out was the rally-goers were chanting "Daulat Tuanku" and "Allahuakbar".
The presence of so many opposition political leaders clearly shows who the real "hidden hands" were involved in this rally. The NGO, UMMAH was just a cover to meet their political objective.
Since the drastic failure of UMNO to recapture Putrajaya and most States after the 14th General Elections, UMNO together with PAS have been trying their best to gather people to topple the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government with all sort of accusations that they have been neglecting the Malays, who are the majority and Islam.
Today's rally clearly shows that their claim of Malays and Islam been neglected had failed.
Malays must realise that the current PH government had bailed-out Tabung Haji, Felda and Mara from being declared "bankrupt" because of massive corruption and mismanagement by the previous UMNO/BN administration.
PAS on the other hand is haunted by the RM90 Million and RM1.43 Million sagas.
Billions were also 'stolen' in the name of 1MDB.
Malaysia's financial situation currently is also in a very critical position.
Malaysians as a whole should work together to help revive the economy. It will benefit everyone on the long run. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
