KUALA LUMPUR: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has dismissed speculations that his deputy Datuk Seri Azmin Ali is planning to quit the party.
“I did not hear anything about this (Azmin leaving PKR).
"I only heard about it from the media, but as said before, it’s not true, " Anwar told reporters after attending the Malaysian Economic Symposium at Parliament here Friday (July 26)
When pressed on the matter, the Port Dickson MP reiterated that he and Azmin were still working as a team.
“We already said no (argument). Why do you want me to argue with him every day؟” he asked.
“We move on. Domo arigato (thank you), ” Anwar said, refusing to take any more questions from the media regarding the sex video scandal.

Rumours about Azmin quitting the party started after Gerakan president Dominic Lau claimed that his party had received overtures regarding Azmin possibly joining the former Barisan Nasional component party.
Lau later clarified that it was merely “indirect discussions” that took place between Gerakan and certain PKR leaders.
The Economic Affairs Minister’s political secretary Hilman Idham and PKR vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin have also denied the rumours.
In the past few weeks, clips of a sex video featuring two men have been circulating online.
Former Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz confessed publicly that he was one of the men in the video and alleged that the other person was Azmin.
Azmin denied this claim, dismissing the scandal as a “nefarious plot” to destroy his political career.- Star
