Dismembered body in bag believed to be that of foreigner

 

A black suitcase containing body parts was found by passers-by along KM477 of the North-South Expressway, close to the Rawang Selatan exit, yesterday.

PETALING JAYA: Police have confirmed that a murder victim whose body was dismembered and stuffed into a bag before being dumped along a highway in Rawang yesterday was that of a male foreigner.

According to a China Press report, Sungai Buloh police chief Shafa’aton Abu Bakar said the post-mortem showed that the man had died from multiple blows and injuries inflicted by sharp weapons.

“The police have recorded a statement from a witness,” she said.

“We are still trying to find out the victim’s identity and the motive behind the murder.”

She added that the victim is believed to be a non-Muslim.

It was reported yesterday that a black suitcase containing body parts was found by passers-by along KM477 of the North-South Expressway, close to the Rawang Selatan exit.

In a Berita Harian report, Shafa’aton said some body parts were also found by the side of the road. However, she said the victim’s head and both arms and legs were missing.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. - FMT
