KUALA LUMPUR: A woman has taken to social media to voice her frustration after claiming she was charged RM6 for just two skewers of nuggets and sausages at a Ramadan bazaar in Terengganu.
In a Threads post, she shared a photo of the fried snacks she purchased at the Kuala Ibai bazaar, alleging that the stall did not display any price tags.
She said the vendor only revealed the price at the time of payment.
Shocked by the amount, she urged the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry in Terengganu to monitor the bazaar.
"To KPDN Terengganu, please monitor the prices at Kuala Ibai bazaar.
"There are no price tags, and only when it's time to pay do they tell you the price," she wrote.
Some netizens sympathised with her, raising concerns about price transparency at Ramadan bazaars, while others shared similar experiences.
One user commented: "I bought the same items at the same location and was charged RM10 for three skewers."
Another, @e4yun, wrote: "Four years ago, I bought lokching when I was in Terengganu.
"I only took three skewers and was shocked when the total came to RM15.
"Maybe it was my fault for not understanding their dialect, or perhaps the cost of living there was already high at the time."
Meanwhile, @fazira.azumie added: "You haven't tried the RM4 beef kebab that was mostly cucumbers, or the RM6 onde-onde that was just flour mixed with coconut.
"The palm sugar seemed to have disappeared! That was also at a Terengganu bazaar." - NST
