The ex-party deputy president says Bersatu should just expel his supporters instead of resorting to other ways of restraining them.

He said many other Bersatu leaders and members were supposed to attend a breaking of fast event organised by him tonight, but could not do so for fear of disciplinary action.
The former Bersatu deputy president said the party should just expel them instead of resorting to other ways of restraining them when they openly support him.
“It’s simple, just sack them. What’s so hard about that?” he said when met by reporters at the event.
Among the Bersatu leaders who attended the dinner were party vice-president Ronald Kiandee and Wanita chief Mas Ermieyati Samsudin.
On Saturday, Kiandee and Mas Ermieyati were served with show-cause letters from Bersatu’s disciplinary board, apparently over their support for Hamzah.
Hamzah and several others were sacked from Bersatu on Feb 13 at the height of a leadership tussle between the Larut MP and party president Muhyiddin Yassin.
Bersatu has 19 MPs currently, but 13 of them, including Kiandee and Mas Ermieyati, appear to be aligned with Hamzah, having co-signed joint statements issued by the opposition leader even after his expulsion.
The 11 others include Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz (Tanah Merah), Rosol Wahid (Hulu Terengganu), Ku Abd Rahman Ku Ismail (Kubang Pasu), Muslimin Yahaya (Sungai Besar) and Abdul Khalib Abdullah (Rompin).
The rest are Khlir Nor (Ketereh), Zakri Hassan (Kangar), Roslan Hashim (Kulim Bandar Baharu), Nordin Ahmad Ismail (Lumut), Kalam Salan (Sabak Bernam) and Islahuddin Abas (Mersing). - FMT
