At this point in history I can really, really emphatise and sympathise with South Korea. They are bending over backwards and have broken their backs like 55 times trying to accomodate North Korea and trying their best NOT to aggravate the North.
Deep down South Korea knows that North Korea is no more a real military threat to the South. The North is good at bluffing.
The nuclear and missile program is needed to frighten the populace with non existent enemies and hence to legitimise the regime's existence.
The South Koreans broke major ice with the recent Winter Olympics in South Korea where they were able to entice North Korea into fielding a joint-team. Both Koreas marched under one "Unification Flag"
Following up very quickly on the success of the Winter Olympics, the South Koreans sent a top level delegation (made up of their national security advisor and the chief of the South Korean intelligence agency) to meet Kim Jong Un. This was unprecednted.
As a result a huge thaw has broken out on the Korean Peninsula. Here is the news:

My comments : These are major paradigm shifts. Trump has responded very well to the North Korean overtures and the immense South Korean efforts.
Just a few weeks ago, the psychos were accusing Trump of trying to start a war on the Korean Peninsula.
Now the same critics are saying Trump is being too friendly with North Korea.
Which one is which? This was not possible with Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan etc. But it is happening under Donald Trump.
Note that everyone else, including Trump's cabinet, are expressing pessimism, quite opposite to Trump's optimism.
There are Deep State players who do not want peace, if possible anywhere in the world. Korea is no exception.
Can you imagine the amount of money that will NOT BE SPENT on weapons if there is a permanent peace treaty between North Korea and South Korea?
Big money is involved. Much is at stake.
They may assassinate Trump over his peace initiatives on the Korean Peninsula.

For the first time Kim Jong Un will meet the South Korean President. This is again another major development towards peace.
The North Koreans have promised that while all these peace talks are under way, they will postpone all nuclear and ballistic missile tests. And indeed they have stopped all their tests since November last year.
Lets keep our fingers crossed.
