My comments : As a Secretary of State I think Rex Tillerson was only slightly less dumb than Hillary and Madeleine Albright. Madeleine Albright thought varicose veins were good to be seen in public, thankfully Hillary did not.
Tillerson was continuously at odds with the President. The former president of the Exxon oil corporation is an adherent of old school American diplomacy - bomb them, shoot them, threaten them, isolate them and take what we want from them.
The thaw between North Korea and planet earth is a clear case in point. No matter how disastrous the outcome, any face to face contact between the North Korean leader and President Trump should lead to a major cooling in relations.
If all the stars are aligned, it could lead to a permanent Peace Treaty on the Korean Peninsula. Rex Tillerson and the Deep State War Mongers do not want this to happen.
I am glad that Donald Trump fired him. CIA Boss Mike Pompeo is replacing Tillerson. Pompeo 54 years old, graduated 1st in his class at West Point. He studied mechanical engineering. He also obtained a law degree at Harvard and has served five years in the US Army.
Soldiers value peace more than the civilian nuts. Lets see what happens. If Pompeo can pull off North Korea, that would be the deal of the century indeed.
