KUALA LUMPUR – Election Commission (EC) officials today entered and left Istana Negara, the national palace, as reports of a possible swearing-in ceremony thus evening picked up.
Several government cars carrying EC officials left the palace at 3.45pm, followed shortly by cars bearing the stamp of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Supporters waving PKR flags have started gathering at one of the palace’s exit points.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhamad V will grant Pakatan Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad an audience at 5pm at Istana Negara, according to Reuters.
Quoting Harapan’s chief secretary Saifuddin Abdullah, the report said the coalition’s prime minister-designate will be accompanied by four other leaders.
Although the four were not named, it is believed the delegation would comprise leaders of the coalition’s four parties, PKR’s Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, DAP’s Lim Guan Eng, Bersatu’s Muhyiddin Yassin and Amanah’s Mohamad Sabu. – MKINI
