KOTA KINABALU: Former Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman said he has no knowledge as to whereabouts of his brother, former Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman.
The Kimanis Member of Parliament nevertheless said that he is concerned with the health of his elder brother.
“Where he is, I do not know, I am only concerned in the event he is not well,” he said on his brother, who was not seen publicly for nearly two weeks.
Anifah said he is confident that Musa would be able to overcome the challenge he now faces
“However, I know that he will be able to win in this fight. Let him rest and return for Raya (Aidilfitri),” he said after a Breaking of Fast event here this evening which was attended by state Umno and Barisan Nasional leaders.
Anifah said the last he spoke to Musa was after the 14th General Election (GE14) at the Chief Minister’s official residence at Sri Gaya, here.
Musa is belived to still be in the country, this was based on a check by NSTP with a source at the Immigration Department, which has no record of Musa exiting Malaysia.
It is understood that the Department is keeping an eye out for the former chief minister on orders from higher authorities.
According to records, Musa’s most recent travel activity saw him take a Malindo Air flight from the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) here to Kuala Lumpur at 9am on May 14.
He is said to have been in the capital to attend an Umno meeting chaired by former deputy prime minister and Umno acting president, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
When contacted, Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Ramli Din confirmed the details, and said that police have yet to obtain a statement from Musa.
“Tan Sri Musa has yet to come forward to give his statement.
“What we know is that he is not in Kota Kinabalu,” he said today. -nst
