KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 — Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim took the opportunity to thank officers from the Sungai Buloh prison who have looked after him over the past four years after arriving home.
He hugged and shook hands with several Prisons Department officials in a simple farewell ceremony at his home in Bukit Segambut, before addressing the press.
He also took several selfies with them as a memento of the time he spent with them while being imprisoned.
A total of 50 personnel from the Prisons Department were present to send him off after escorting him from the Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital earlier.
“I do not have to sign any documents because my conviction has been erased by the royal pardon,” he said briefly.
