‘BETTER YOU GET THE COW WOMAN TO PAY BACK THE PEOPLE’S MONEY’: RAFIDAH TICKS OFF ANINA, SAYS ‘ASSETS BOUGHT FROM MY HUSBAND’S & MY OWN HARD-EARNED INCOME IS NONE OF HER BLOODY BUSINESS’

Rafidah Aziz said her assets were acquired in an honest manner in response to former Bersatu member Anina Saadudin, who challenged the ex-minister to declare her wealth.

“Assets bought from my husband’s and my own hard-earned and honest income is none of her bloody business.

“I can hold my head high and account to God Almighty my assets,” she told Malaysiakini.

Rafidah’s late husband Mohamed Basir Ahmad had served as the chairperson of Maybank for 16 years and retired in 2009.

Meanwhile, the former Wanita Umno chief also dared Anina to call on the present caretaker government’s leaders to declare their assets.

Known as the “iron lady”, she also trained her guns on her successor and current Wanita Umno chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.

“Ask her (Anina) to get ‘cow woman’ to pay back rakyat’s money,” she said.

This was an obvious reference to reports which said the National Feedlot Corporation still owed the government more than RM248 million from the RM250 million soft loan it received.

Shahrizat’s husband Mohamed Salleh Ismail is the company’s chairperson, with her children as its directors.

However, the MACC has cleared Shahrizat of any involvement in the awarding of a contract and a RM250 million loan to NFC.

Mokhzani: Show proof I own 448 companies

Meanwhile, Pakatan Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s son Mokhzani (photo) also challenged Anina to reveal where she acquired information that he amassed a wealth of up to RM170 billion and owned 488 companies.

The businessman also demanded that she furnish proof to substantiate her allegation.

Mokhzani also explained that his contract with the national oil corporation Petronas was earned in a transparent way via his share in the petroleum-based Kencana Sapura Berhad firm.

According to Forbes magazine, Mokhzani is one of the richest persons in Malaysia and Mahathir’s critics, including caretaker prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, have accused the former premier of nepotism.

At a press conference yesterday, Anina had zeroed in on Rafidah and two other Umno veterans, Daim Zainuddin and Rais Yatim, describing them as Mahathir’s “old cartel”.

She had challenged the three to declare their assets.

Daim: Does she know history?

Meanwhile, former finance minister Daim slammed Anina over her remark, stressing on her wavering allegiance.

“Who is this bloody woman? Who is she to challenge? Does she know history or not?

“She used to support Mahathir, now she is supporting Najib.

“Don’t try and (challenge). Mahathir has won the hearts of Langkawi folk,” he told reporters at a restaurant in Shah Alam, after a campaign session for Harapan’s Shah Alam candidate Khalid Samad, Kota Anggerik candidate Najwan Halimi and Batu Tiga candidate Rodziah Ismail.

The session was attended by some 100 supporters.
