Dr M meets top DAP leaders

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had a meeting with top DAP leaders at the Perdana Leadership Foundation here on Tuesday (May 15).
Finance Minister-designate Lim Guan Eng was seen in a black vehicle leaving the building at 10.08am.
Lim, who is also DAP secretary-general, left with party deputy chairman Gobind Singh and DAP national organising secretary Anthony Loke Siew Fook, who is also Seremban MP.
It was reported that Lim would seek clarification if the Anti-Fake News Act would be abolished or amended, among other matters.
Dr Mahathir was reported as saying that the Act would be amended to give a “clear definition” of what constituted fake news so that the public and media practitioners would have a better understanding.
The Act was passed in the last Parliament session and gazetted before GE14.
The three DAP leaders did not talk to media personnel gathered at the entrance to the building's compound, and only waved as their vehicles went past.
It is understood that the trio's meeting with Dr Mahathir lasted for about an hour.
Later, Auditor-General Tan Sri Dr Madinah Mohamad's car was seen entering the compound.- Star
