Dr M’s attacks on Najib personal, says Hadi

GE14 | PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has described the attacks by former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad against caretaker Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak as personal in nature and not in the interest of the country.

He said Dr Mahathir had a personal agenda to oust Najib as prime minister and the Pakatan Harapan leader had the intention of making the system of governance better as he had claimed.

“Our (PAS’s) problem is not personalities...what we want is better Islamic governance,” he told a gathering attended by some 500 people in Dataran Shah Bandar, Kuala Terengganu yesterday.

PAS which had aligned itself with the opposition coalition in the last general election has decided to go it alone in the 14th general election, polling of which is on Wednesday (May 9).
