EPF CEO Shahril Ridza Ridzuan says the markets are fine and in line with global and regional forces.
KUALA LUMPUR: Employees Provident Fund (EPF) CEO Shahril Ridza Ridzuan today briefed the Council of Eminent Persons on the pension fund’s service to members and its plans for the future.
He said the meeting had focused solely on the EPF and did not discuss other matters like the abolishment of tolls.
“It was just a briefing on EPF and what EPF is doing.
“They also wanted to know what else we could do to help our members, in line with our vision to provide them with the best service.
“This briefing was just about how we deliver our service, our investments and our returns,” he said when met by reporters at Menara Ilham here today.
He said any further statements would be issued by the council.
“The markets are fine and in line with global and regional markets. The selldown is experienced everywhere due to global issues.
“We see market activity levels as healthy. Markets go up and down all the time. Do not look at it over a period of a few days.” -FMT
