GE14 eve - 10pm: Najib live on TV3, Dr M live on Facebook

GE14 | Caretaker prime minister and BN chairperson Najib Abdul Razak is scheduled to address the nation via a live telecast on TV3 tomorrow night on the eve of polling day for the 14th general election.
This was revealed by BN secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, who urged all Malaysians and members of BN component parties to tune in.
The 10pm live telecast would take place at the same time Pakatan Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad is scheduled to address the nation.
The former premier's speech would be delivered in Langkawi and broadcasted live on social media.
An hour prior to Najib's address, Tengku Adnan said BN state chairpersons would deliver their speeches.
He also urged all polling districts nationwide to conduct “solathajat” (special prayers).
The caretaker minister also believes that Malaysians would be able to evaluate BN's capabilities in administering the nation since independence.
“BN will continue the struggle to defend the people and remain sensitive to the needs of all communities regardless of race or religion,” he added in a statement.
Tengku Adnan also pointed out that the BN manifesto contained realistic and achievable promises.
“BN leaders have worked hard to provide the best service to the people and this proves there are many who believe in the BN leadership to form a dynamic and responsible government,” he added.
On May 4, Malaysiakini reported Bersatu Youth chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman as stating that Mahathir's speech would be aired live on Facebook, with Harapan aiming to reach out to some 10 million voters nationwide.
"At the same time, at all the 222 parliament seats, there will be mega ceramah.
"At 10pm, all of the ceramahs will be halted to make way for Mahathir's special address," he added.
Meanwhile, a mega-concert would also be held in Langkawi tomorrow night. It is co-organised by the Langkawi Development Board (Lada) and the Finance Ministry.
The Langkawi Hebat concert would feature a string of local artists such as Ramli Sarip, DJ Dave, Dayang Nurfaizah, Joe Flizzow and others.
The concert, which could upstage Mahathir's speech, would also have a fireworks display and a lucky draw with attractive prizes such as motorcycles, smartphones and Playstation sets. - Mkini
