Harapan and allies have 122 seats

GE14 | Pakatan Harapan has confirmed that the total number of Parliamentary seats for the coalition and its allies now stands at 122.
According to Harapan secretariat chief Saifuddin Abdullah, Harapan has 113 MPs.
Eight MPs from Warisan and independent P Prabakaran, who had won the Batu parliamentary seat, are now allied with the coalition.
Earlier today, Harapan chairperson and prime minister-designate Dr Mahathir Mohamad had mistakenly said at a press conference in Petaling Jaya today that Harapan and its allies now had 135 seats.
He had said this when disputing BN chairperson Najib Abdul Razak’s earlier remark that no party had won enough seats in the general election, and thus the decision to appoint the next prime minister was in the Agong’s hands.
‘Warisan is always close to us’
Mahathir also quashed speculation that BN was currently in talks with Harapan’s Sabah ally Warisan.
“Warisan is always close to us.
“I spoke to Shafie Apdal (Warisan president) twice this morning and he has told me he has already decided that all members of Warisan who won the election... will name me as the prime minister,” he said.
Saifuddin also maintained confidence in Warisan’s alliance with Harapan.
“I have full confidence that Shafie is capable enough to solve issues of the ground (for us).
“Warisan is our strategic partner,” he told Malaysiakini after the press conference.  - Mkini
