Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd (AKSB), a company under Perbadanan Menteri Besar Kelantan, has filed a lawsuit against Amanah vice-president Husam Musa.
Husam is being sued for claiming that AKSB had awarded the first package of the Merbau Condong water supply project Phase 11 to Cdah Construction Jangka Prestasi JV, on Jan 22, 2015, two months before the joint venture company was registered.
AKSB chairperson Hanifa Ahmad had rebutted Husam, stressing that Cdah Construction and Jangka Prestasi were only awarded the project after having gone through the necessary tender evaluation.
When contacted, AKSB general manager Wan Mohd Zamri Wan Ismail confirmed that a suit had been filed against Husam.
"We have initiated action through our lawyers and a notice of summons was delivered to Husam," he told Malaysiakini.
The Amanah leader had asked the PAS-led Kelantan government to clarify the tender process of the RM27.1 million project.
Meanwhile, the state Amanah Youth wing lodged a report with the MACC over Husam's claim.
Its mobilisation director Mohd Afiq Ayob urged authorities to investigate the matter. - Mkini
