KUALA LUMPUR: The media are on a mission to get comments from Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on the outcome of 14th General Election, with a large number of pressmen waiting outside his residence in Jalan Duta.
The Barisan Nasional chairman did not show up at Umno headquarters, and members of the media rushed to his residence upon getting word that the party's top guns were at his home for a top secret meeting.
It is learnt that among those at the meeting were Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and Khairy Jamaluddin.
Those who had been camping out there since 12.30am Thursday (May 10), tried in vain to get comments from the leaders who showed up.
However, Khairy stopped to give a few words as he was walking to his car to leave.
"Barisan Nasional is prepared to accept the will of the people.
"Whatever it is, we need to respect the will of the people.
"We need to make sure the election results are respected and we move on," he said.
As of 2.32am, media personnel were seen waiting diligently waiting outside Najib's residence.- Star
